When Cesar first laid eyes on Ali, he knew she was the one. And shortly after they were introduced, he told Ali he was going to marry her. And Ali laughed. No really, she laughed at him. Now most men would feel defeated and walk away from that kind of a situation, but not Cesar. He knew she was the one and wouldn’t rest until she was his. And with time, a deep love and affection grew between them. When Cesar was injured during service to his country in the Army, Ali was there for him. And once she saw into his heart, raw and unprotected, she too knew he was the one.
The planning was short, but when you are in the military, sometimes that’s how it works. And for those with any military knowledge, I want to note here that Ali’s Dad is a Marine. When a Marine’s daughter marries an Army man; you KNOW he’s a good guy…he HAS to be.
They said their vows at St. John the Baptist church in front of God and their family and friends. It was a beautiful ceremony and the reception was intimate and lovely. I feel so honored to have been a part of documenting their wedding day and sharing a bit of their love story with you. Besides that, who doesn’t love a gorgeous bride who puts on her mother’s handmade wedding dress for her get-away attire and a man in a uniform. It’s a no-brainier!
