UC Davis Arboretum Engagement Session | Sophia and Salvador

It was cold, raining, and windy when we woke up Sunday morning. Truth be told, we almost decided to call Sophia and Sal’s UC Davis Arboretum engagement session…it was THAT ugly outside! The forecast said it would clear in the afternoon, but we weren’t so sure. And so we made a last minute decision to push on and deal with whatever mother nature decided to deliver us. Luckily, she was a merciful mistress.

It was a wonderful afternoon and when we were done, I must say, my heart was full. Love, beauty, weddings, and gorgeous sunsets charge me up for sure. Our perseverance through the storm paid off tenfold! But really, isn’t that always the case in love and life? Sophia and Sal will be married next summer and I simply cannot wait to continue the story there!

  1. Whoa, how I love a fiery sky! But my faves might be the ones with her laughing — on the grass and walking along the path. Beautifully done!

  2. What beautiful photos! I especially love the ones with the sun setting in the background. What a lovely and dramatic effect it has in the photos! You really managed to capture the moment of two people completely in love… great job!

  3. Those shots at sunset are fantastic! They have such a lovely profile- almost like a little heart. These are so cute. You can really feel the love between them.

  4. Well done for sticking with the session! Glad that mother nature was kind to you. 🙂 Those silhouette shots are absolutely gorgeous!

  5. Sophia looks so much like my cousin Sara, it’s amazing, I had to take a closer look just to make sure haha! Have to agree with Jen, my favorite pictures are the ones where she laughs; she has such a sincere and beautiful laugh. Love this session, awesome work, Teresa!

  6. They look like a very happy couple , but how could they not be when they are in such a stunning place.. Keep up the brilliant photography girl!
