Sacramento Citizen Hotel Rooftop Elopement at Sunset | Leslie and Kim

Kim, with her warm, caring spirit and beautiful baby blue eyes stole Leslie’s heart right away. It was as close to love at first sight as Leslie had ever known and she immediately felt at that moment that Kim was something a little extra special. And when Leslie made her move Kim knew it was something she could never walk away from. For the first time in both of their lives, they felt whole.

After their home state of Florida finally recognized same-sex marriages, Leslie and Kim decided it was time to take their 6-year relationship to the next level. But Florida wasn’t the right place for their I do’s and when a job opportunity came up in California for Leslie, they knew they were being pulled toward the west coast. And so the least they could do is come and see what they hype was all about…right?!

It started as plans to get married at the courthouse, but quickly grew into something even better as phone call after phone call lead them to something more. When they contacted me about a Sacramento Citizen Hotel rooftop elopement at sunset with a small group of close friends and relatives, I was off the charts excited and so happy to be a part of the stars aligning for these two.

March can be such an unpredictable weather month here in NorCal with possibilities of rain, fog, and cold weather. But we ended up with the most perfect scenario possible: warm, sunny, and clear. It was everything these two could have asked for and exactly what they deserved.

It was a day filled with love, happiness, tears of joy, emotion, pedicabs, downtown Sacramento, a gorgeous sunset, and the Sacramento skyline all lining up to say congratulations and best wishes for many years of happiness as Leslie and Kim continue their journey together, now as lawfully wedded wives.

  1. Amazing photos of what seems to be an equally amazing couple. Congrats to them! (And FANTASTIC photos, as usual!)

  2. What a beautiful couple! I just love how happy and in love they look . The picture I love the most is the one with them in front of the graffiti, it’s just so colorful and beautiful. The Night photos are stark and equally striking. congrats to the happy couple!

  3. That’s wonderful for this couple! I love the picture of the dresses hanging side-by-side.All the spots random pictures are taken are great also. My absolute favorite is the rooftop picture of the couple near the rail.Looks like a great time was had by all. 🙂 Beautiful.

  4. I love how you have such a variety of lighting, from smooth and simple to Drama! Gorgeous!

  5. Beautiful photos! You can really tell the couple are in love. I like the photo of the couple kissing after giving their vowels, the positioning of the harp in the photos really does it justice. The variety of different textures, contrasts and colours definitely gives more feeling to the photos and emphasises the couples love and excitement.

  6. The teary moments are and will always be my favorites. I’m way too sentimental – as in crying at cartoons – and these moments are so special it’s hard not to burst in tears. When my sister got married I cried more than both my parents haha.
