I finally jumped on the full frame bandwagon this week with my new Nikon D700 camera. I must say, I do love it. So, today my little guy had a Spring Sing concert with his first grade class. It was the perfect opportunity to try out my new gear in low light and see how it did.
The concert performance was night and day compared to the last singing event I attended. I could barely understand last years Kindergartners and not everyone knew the words to sing. This year the words were clear and you could actually hear everyone. They did 6 songs, all memorized and sung really well. I was so impressed.
As for the camera, no need to flash at a nice clean and clear ISO 1250. See for yourself below!
Here’s one of the first shots I took the day my new camera arrived…Megan is into EVERYTHING, so there was no opening up the box without an audience!
The performers…
Mitchell spotted Dad and Sis in the audience.
These events are as much a tribute to the teachers as the students
Even sister was dancing!
