One of the nice things about keeping my business boutique is that it gives me the ability to spend more time with my clients getting to know them better. In my experience, when people are comfortable with you and feel like they are connecting, they are so much more relaxed for photographs. This is why my portrait sessions usually last 1 – 2+ hours and why I only take so many portrait and wedding commissions per year.
So when clients come back to have me document their lives further, it really makes me happy. You might remember Jim and Erinne from their San Francisco wedding last year at the Swedenborgian church (you can see that post here). It was just Jim, Erinne and Jim’s son Grant at the time (our little Max was just a blueberry). Well now that the family is bigger Jim decided to surprise Erinne with a family portrait session for their anniversary.
We spent the afternoon together running around Davis. We took pictures at the house, the park, the Mondavi Center, downtown Davis, the Stevenson Bridge and in some gorgeous Lavender Fields. It was a fun and relaxed session, just how I like it!
Love all the different “looks” to this session – urban, rural, you have it all!
A beautiful set of images, clean crisp and full of character
Wow, you sure had the choice of backdrops, I love it! Anything with fantastic lines catches my attention, and there were plenty here! The light in the last couple is killer! Superb work!!!
The selective focus, the warmth and intimacy … this is why you are one of my faves!
Gorgeous family. You’ve captured some great connections.
Holy blue eyes! Love them.
Awww what a cute family! My fave has to be the brothers sitting on the ground – just adorable.
I love your style. Wonderful images 🙂
I love the shots of the brothers and the pomegranate. Amazing job.
Love that kiss on the bridge! Awesome!
You pick the best times of day to take your shots, NICE!
Hope everyone has a very merry christmas!
