When Stephanie called me for her engagement session, she was in the middle of planning a destination wedding. You see, Stephanie and her family are all from Florida. This is where she met and fell in love with Travis. So when the time came for Travis to go home to Sacramento, Stephanie knew she would follow her heart and begin calling California home.
Since Stephanie was new to the area, I made a lot of suggestions of places to shoot for some beautiful fall colors. One of the things I love about my job is getting to scope out awesome locations for photo shoots. I have a long suggestion list that I am always adding to. For their engagement session, Stephanie and Travis decided on Apple Hill. Now keep in mind that Apple Hill can be a VERY crowded spot in the fall because the foothills of Northern California truly are gorgeous, plus the apples are UHmazing. But luckily, this photographer knows of a couple secret spots…
And what started out as a destination wedding, is going to be exactly that (and a world class wedding destination at that). When she was first planning, I’m not sure Stephanie really knew all that Northern California had to offer. People come from all over the world to get married in Lake Tahoe. And now Stephanie and Travis just have a short drive up the hill to get there. I can’t wait for their wedding in September.
