School starts up for the kids next week and Megan is four this year, so it was time to take her and her brother to the Happiest Place on Earth (no not the local brewery, it’s Disneyland). Last time we went as a family, Megan was just a sparkle in Daddy’s eye and Mitchell was about 3 1/2.
We’re not exactly what you’d call regular Disneyland visitors or anything, but when you have kids, it’s pretty much your duty to take them there. And seeing the joy of our children experiencing the park together was priceless and worth the trip for sure.
Our first ride was the teacups. It was so much fun and the kids couldn’t get enough!
And little Miss Megan, being the totally girlie girl that she is, had to see the princesses. She begged for a princess dress, so of course I stood my ground on the “souvenir budget” (yeah right). So yep, we were one of “those” people at the park.
Can’t forget the Mickey Mouse ears…
California Adventure was a lot of fun too
And a little Downtown Disney
Of course we had to have some face paintings to go with the princess dress (and if you are paying attention, it’s day two and yes….she’s still in the princess dress)
Mitchell was so excited to go on California Screaming, and I was a little too since I now had a scary ride partner (Dad is so not into coasters that go upside down).
I think Mitchell favored the rides there, and leaning over in the swing with my camera to get this shot (one of my favs) was nothing compared to when I did it last year in a helicopter!
Miss Meg was a bit scared of some of the rides…amongst those she DID NOT like…Thunder Mountain, Pirates, Snow White, and a Bug’s Life, yes I said a Bug’s Life, one of the best attractions at California Adventure.
She did not want to get up…
And she’s out
We spent our last morning in the hotel pool before heading back to Sactown.
If you’d like to see more of our southern California adventure here’s the slideshow with our theme song for the drive down. (I’m a 90s child, so please don’t judge me!)
And also, if you’re not family, don’t worry, I won’t hold it against if you don’t watch it. (:
Such a beautiful family!!! I'm glad they had a blast 🙂
And of course as always, great pictures 🙂
Thank you Tracey for putting these great pics up. I love to see how the kids are growing.
Looks like your kids had a blast! It's nice you got to capture it all 🙂

So fun! No one does it like Disney! Love the shot on the swing thing that spins around.
