I am a firm believer that my clients find me and choose me because I was meant to be their photographer. I know it sounds a little cheesy, but I really think it’s true. It’s a faith thing; I feel like everything happens for a reason. And Rachel and Fernando very recently helped reinforce that belief in me.
Here’s how: After finishing school at UC Davis, Fernando is now doing his residency in North Carolina while Rachel is planning their wedding here in Sacramento. So from a far, they both set about looking for a wedding photographer. After much research, Rachel and Fernando compared notes. They both said “Teresa K” at the same time. Coincidence…some might say yes. Me, I say it was meant to be!!
I think Rachel and Fernando are truly meant to be married too (but you’ll soon see that when you look at their images).
So after we met and firmed up all the details for the wedding, it was time for the engagement session. Since Fernando’s visits are a bit of a treat (residencies are a lot of work and don’t afford a whole lot of “free time”) we decided to make it an adventure! We headed up the hill to Amador County for a little wine country fun and a lot less of that Sacramento fog. We visited a couple of the beautiful wineries in the area, including one of my favorites Terra d’Oro (which used to just be Montevina when Tim and I would spend time there).
It was a beautiful day and I had so much fun spending time with these two. Rachel is a complete doll and Fernando is everything a prince charming should be. I am so excited for the wedding this June!
I LOVE these!!!! What a gorgeous couple and locations! I have always wanted to visit a vineyard, but I am not in the right part of the country really. Great job!
Teresa! These are SOOO creative!!! I love all the natural posing, the colors, composition, just everything! What a gorgeous couple! You totally rocked this session!
Such a cute couple and that light is perfect. Great shots!
These are stunning, Teresa! I love the beautiful warm light in the vineyard and how much variety there is with all the different locations. Beautiful couple and beautiful pictures!
Lovely location! Great shots and patterns. I’m from Grass Valley, we have tons of wineries, unfortunately Ive never had a session there.. gotta try to have for for next time I visit though!
Beautiful photos! Looks like you all had a really great time together!
Im loving these!!!! I really love the vineyard shots and the b/w ones. Such a perfect couple!
Not only are the images stunning – but I love what you wrote in the blurb above.. I believe the same thing! Gorgeous work!
I love all of the interesting locations! Your lighting is beautiful! Looks like a fun session!
Thank you so much for these beautiful photos! You are right, they are an amazing couple. I am so excited for their wedding and for them to begin their life together!

Stunning set Teresa! Great couple too!
great e-session. love the photos next to the barrels and the blue + white blocks!
Cute couple. LOVE the one of him carrying her through the field of vines. Print that baby large!
The shot of him staring straight at camera with her kissing his cheek is killer!
Stunning work. You have enough great shots here to fill up a wall with huge prints. Great work indeed.
Teresa, I love these shots. I love your bright skin tones and the punch you have in your processing. Great work.
Ah… I love winery shoots. I’m so jealous (no wineries in Florida). The shots in front of the barrels and the ones in front of the stone wall are fantastic. Just love the patterns in the barrels and the texture of that wall is awesome.
Maybe I’ll start shooting in the orange groves. Not quite the elegance of a winery… but hey. It’s what I have. hahaha… Kind of like a redneck winery shoot!
Thanks Teresa for this beautiful memento on the life that Fernando and Rachel are about to share with God’s blessings. The pictures are so wonderful that it is hard to pick one… you did an amazing job! We are all very excited about the wedding, and yes! They are a match made in heaven! (mother-of-the-groom)
I love them! The creativity and freshness of the pictures show how much in love they are, and that it’s precious. I’m also a believer that things happen for a reason.
Teresa, congrats, keep up the beautiful work! I send all my love to my nephew and soon to be niece, all the best for them.
