Irina and Robin are two of the sweetest, kindest, smartest, and most adorable people on the planet. Their hearts are deeply rooted in nature and the goodness of that is completely transparent to those who know them well. It’s so obvious in their studies and careers that they are meant for each other. Irina the entomologist with her love of insects and Robin the plant pathologist with his head in the world of well…plants. It’s a match made in heaven and balanced here on earth.
And so of course this love of nature extended to their wedding day; how could it not? High Sierra Iris Gardens with it’s lush grounds and tall trees surrounding everyone was the perfect setting for their Apple Hill wedding.
I documented only pure joy in Robin’s face the entire day. It was like that of a child…untainted, pure, and expressed without reserve. His ability to let his feelings be open for the word to see is well balanced by a sense of introversion and deep love that is reflected directly in Irina’s eyes. It was something so beautiful that it was literally audible.
The sweet laugh that was characterized by a little bit of nervousness, joy, excitement, and love that I heard from Robin as he saw his bride walk down the aisle to marry him is something I will hold in my heart forever. It’s these kind of moments that make me so grateful to do what I do.

That dress shot is pretty rad and your details shots are great – and overall a fantastic job!
First off, I may have jumped a little with excitement seeing a cat right away 😉 Second, I just adore his reaction jumping toward her at the ceremony. Way too sweet. Third, loving’ their portraits in the field!
What a beautiful wedding! Also, when ever there’s a cat involved, I’m pretty much done. 😀 Really lovely work.
Awwww… the bride and groom look so cute together! These photos turned out beautiful! My favorite is the one with the bride and groom standing in front of all the pine trees.
