Capturing sincere, authentic moments with this sentimental couple on their wedding day was never a problem. I love their sweet, transparent relationship with each other. Every moment seemed to be treasured by them. Instead of getting caught up in all of the little details of the day, they simply focused on their love and had a blast celebrating with their friends and family – a wedding photographer’s dream. Even the best-designed weddings can’t compete with the natural beauty of genuine love.
Case in point: when I what they were most looking forward to on their wedding day, MacKenzie responded, “I’m looking forward to hearing Cyle’s vows. I am also really excited to give Cyle a wedding gift I made…. And to eat one of Frank Vilt’s margarita cupcakes!” And Cyle said he was “most excited about seeing MacKenzie throughout the whole wedding day and being together.” It’s easy to get wrapped up in the plans and décor, but these two really embraced what was most important and just had fun celebrating their commitment to each other. However, their style was still incredibly on point (and equally meaningful)! I LOVED their cheerful light blue and sunflower theme. Plus, all of the wedding party (even the little flower girl) wore Converse shoes, which made for some pretty cute photos. The groom’s yellow Chuck’s looked awesome with his gray suit. But even those had sentimental value: When Cyle & MacKenzie first met, they had matching Converse shoes, and often wore them everywhere together, so they had custom pairs embroidered for their wedding day. Even the accents such as the candy cart and corn hole were made by family members: The bride’s bracelet was a wedding gift from Cyle, and her earrings are an 18th birthday gift from loved ones. The groom’s watch was a wedding gift from MacKenzie. Meanwhile, the beautiful cupcake “tree” on dessert table was custom-made and passed down from their sibling’s wedding, and the wood rounds on the tables were cut by MacKenzie’s grandpa from a tree in his backyard where MacKenzie lived for part of her childhood. Wow! For this wedding, everything happened with purpose and love. Congratulations to this amazing couple! I wish them the very best and many adventures to come. |
