Let’s be real for a minute, the weather for outdoor summer weddings in Sacramento can be hit or miss. The temperature can soar over 100 degrees, or it can be like the last couple days and never get too far out of the 80s. But even when it’s hot, the delta breezes usually come our way fast enough to cool us down before we completely melt away.
But remember, I grew up in Arizona. The desert. I lived there the year it was 122 degrees. Yes, I just said 122 degrees! The same place where the overnight low temperature rarely dips below 90 for most of the summer. So yeah, I try not to complain about heat here in Sactown.
Fred and Daisy had their summer wedding at Frasinetti Winery, a fantastic location for outdoor weddings. Frasinetti has actually been around since 1897; the whole place has a really cool rustic charm that only age can provide. And although it was admittedly toward the hotter side of summer, between the gentle breezes that would rise up now and again and all beautiful trees at the winery, Fred and Daisy’s big day ended up being just perfect.
This wedding was my first opportunity in a long time to second shoot for Oliver of images by Oliver. Thank-you Oliver for being a great friend and colleague. Weddings are so much more fun when we’re shooting together.
It was a good day.
I typically don’t post slideshows when I’m the second shooter. Oliver has Fred and Daisy’s complete story and will hopefully be sharing it with you soon on his blog.
