I’m so excited to share this session with you. I just love it when a bride is not afraid to get her dress a little dirty for the sake of a good picture! And Lori didn’t hold back at all for this fantastic bridal session at the historic Preston Castle in Ione, California (aka the Preston School of Industry).
The castle has “photo days” about 3 – 4 times a year when photographers are free to roam about and take pictures in the castle. There’s a small fee, but it’s totally worth it to shoot at this amazing location.
They say the castle is haunted by the ghost of a nurse who was murdered there. But for the record, I want to say that I saw no ghosts at all, just lots of beautiful light and killer backgrounds! Now don’t get me wrong, that doesn’t mean I plan on attending any “over-nighters” at the castle any time soon. I’m just saying, it felt pretty safe…in the daytime.
But honestly, with Lori looking so gorgeous in her wedding dress, it would be hard for anyone to think about scary ghosts in her presence.
Kathy and Lisa at Crystal Rose Florist provided the flowers for our shoot. And let me just tell you, these girls are FANTASTIC!! The flowers were beautiful, fresh, and held up just perfectly.
The AMAZING Wendi Labban at Definition Beauty did Lori’s make-up. Lori’s face was FRESH, GORGEOUS and lasted all day. Wendi is so very good at what she does.
Check it out and let me know if you see any “ghosts” in the images.
What a fantastic location. What a stunning bride to go with it all! Your photos are brilliant Teresa; towards sunset they become magical.

Love how that brick building’s grandeur contributed so much to the photos, Teresa!
That is awesome – totally different and there is something old for her wedding – amazing photography. Did you have to get permission to get in or you folks did some urban exploration?
It’s an remarkable piece of writing in support of all the
internet people; they will get benefit from it I am sure.
