Yesterday was our little girl’s third birthday. I know it sounds cliché, but honestly, it seems like just yesterday that she was born. The memory of her birth is so vivid, even today. But, that’s probably because she came so fast there was no time for an epidural (and I make no qualms about it, I REALLY wanted one). But seriously, she’s a blessing to us all. Megan is such a happy child and is so gently and sweet. I treasure these moments as much as I can and even when the terrible 2’s (and 3’s) set in I try to remember she won’t be this little for long. I know I’ll miss the day when I can’t cradle her in my arms anymore.
This year we planned for a birthday party at the park, but Mother Nature decided to send a heat wave our way in May and 100+ degrees in the park didn’t sound too appealing. So we had a nice little gathering at the house with la familia(minus her cousins who were sick with strep throat).
Megan loves sweets and the princess cake/cupcakes were perfect. And of course the balloons were her favorite too. Every time we go to Trader Joe’s she wants one, so we got a couple special ones for her day including this big Tinkerbell.
She got a couple musical cards with her gifts. She LOVED them. She kept opening them up and dancing to the music!
Does she look like she’s having fun????
Happy birthday my princess. I hope all your wishes come true!
It goes by so fast doesn’t it? I keep telling Noelle (her birthday is June 11th), “I think I want you to stay 4, so no more birthdays”. Of course that just sets her on FULL TILT and I’m hysterical with laughter.
