There’s an old saying that goes “they do it bigger in Texas”, but I think we give them a run for their money right here in California. As proof, I submit to you Jorie and Kellen’s Northern California cowboy wedding. These two are something else in the best way possible. A special duo whose love, light, and balance found in each other is nothing short of perfection. When Jorie starts to feel anxiety or nervousness, all she has to do is look up into her cowboy’s eyes for reassurance that everything is going to be okay. And I’m here to tell you, a cowboy’s eyes don’t lie!
But seriously, when I first met Jorie she was a lovely and vibrant bridesmaid in Justin and Briana’s wedding. A few years had past from that day when I received a call from Jorie telling me she had found the love of her life and that they were getting married. I must say, I was beyond excited to see her again! Some people in this life just glow, and this girl is one of those special people.
Photographing Jorie with her Kellen at their engagement session was all I needed to see to know it truly was a match made in heaven. These two feel like home to me every single time I see them. The kindness, hospitality, and openness that radiates from them is a rare and beautiful thing. The wedding was warm, country, beautiful, and full of life, just like the two of them. It was a good day indeed…yeehaw!

Awww I love all the laughter you captured during the getting ready part of the day! Gorgeous work!
Nice punchy black and whites.
What gorgeous wedding photos! I think that the black and white photos turned out especially beautiful. You really captured so many beautiful moments that are immortalized in these stunning portraits. Thank you for sharing these!
The groom’s reaction is just so special! Gorgeous work 🙂
I love the details they incorporated in their wedding. So fun yet still elegant. And those wedding reception images look like they all had a lot of fun!
Love your work Teresa. Really interesting look into an American wedding too (I’m from UK).
What a fun wedding! I especially love the truck portraits, and how all the ladies wore cowboy boots and white dresses.
I really liked the picture with the hairspray. It was interesting. And all of the pictures of their first dance were to die for! I loved all the pictures that weren’t posed. I think it gives them a better look back at their wedding through the years. Just wonderful!
Love his reaction when she comes down the aisle. Amazing.
There are so many beautiful photographs here but that hairspray cloud is epic!
I love how you captured the special moments and details of this wedding! I loved their wedding theme and how well you presented it in photos. Trucks, boots, belts, red solo cups… wonderful! You’re right, this is a radiant couple!
Off course the groom had to wear Levi Strauss, this has to be one of the most gorgeous cowboy themed wedding I ever seen. The bride looked incredible, they both look like they’re about to go on stage and sing a country song. Another great set Teresa! Keep up the good work!
The third shot has me squealing – such a beautiful dress with cowboy boots. Sometime it doesn’t work, but it does here, and the photo is ridiculously lovely! In fact I’m in love with all the shots of the boots in this post, especially the bridal party about midway down. The black and white for the perspiration is also incredibly effective and adds a true spirit to the emotions in the photos that colour just doesn’t capture. The theme of their wedding is very rustic and elegant at the same time. When I see photos like this, I can’t imagine ever having a typical wedding in an average church when I could have something with this kind of beauty about the day.
I have honestly never seen any other wedding pictures that can compare to the beauty you’ve captured in these photographs!
Every single shot is racked with emotion. From the quiet sadness that comes with leaving behind a phase of your life, to the absolute joy of moving onto something so pure and right.
The outdoors provided such a fitting backdrop to this wedding, and your use of the surroundings to frame the shots was beautifully done.
