Sarah and Bill are getting married in May in Saratoga. Since they are in the Bay area and I’m in Sacramento, we decided to find a place in the middle to meet for their engagement photos. Sarah and Bill had just recently completed a half marathon in Calistoga and Tim and I love the wine country; so naturally, we headed out to Napa valley to do their shoot. And if you read my previous post here, you know how awesome I think Napa is this time of year!
Sarah and Bill are so cool and laid back and we had a blast taking pictures. We started at Beringer because the grounds were just gorgeous (although anywhere in the Napa valley in the fall is pretty much beautiful).
You might not know it from the pictures, but we were dealing with extremely high winds all weekend and the day of our shoot was no exception. The gusts were up to 40-50 miles per hour at times.
But I must say, Sarah and Bill were so laid back and easy to work with, despite the inclement weather. Could have been the little bit of wine tasting that they did before I met them…hmmmmm
But honestly, engagement sessions are great because it gives the couple a chance to get comfortable with me and my camera before the big day and makes for much more relaxed images.
I told you they were cool, they even climbed into this tree when I suggested it!
It didn’t matter how windy it was…these guys rocked it!
After we finished up at Beringer it was time for a quick outfit change and a drive up the road to Castello Di Amorosa which literally translates to “castle of love”.
The castle was a little bit crowded, but these guys were troopers. They even scaled the castle walls for this shot!
Aren’t they just a gorgeous couple?
Yep, a couple of hotties for sure!
There were so many beautiful areas to shoot.
I just ADORE the chemistry between these two…their happiness was absolutely contagious. These guys are a great example of an office romance done right!
Once it started to get too dark for pictures, we headed back to the tasting room.
Cheers! I can’t wait for your wedding in May.

What a beautiful engagement session Teresa. I love the candid shots and my favorite has to be the close up with all the red leaves behind them. Awesome work!
Teresa – this is my favorite slideshow by far. You get better every time. You did a great job of capturing their chemistry, the beauty of the location, and their ease with the camera. Keep up the good work!
WOW! You really got a ton of great images. I love the B&W diptych and the ring shot, also the shot of them hugging in front of the stone building. The dof is soooo dreeaamy.
Oh my gosh what a gorgeous couple! And suuuuch a lovely location.. vineyards are just a perfect setting for love 🙂
That tree one is awesome, what a great canvas image that would make!
Wow, great Job! I can't wait to see the wedding. They ARE such a beautiful couple and you can feel the love from your images. =)
A really.. really good looking couple! I'm sure they are thrilled with the results!
The one shot with the red leaves in the background out of focus is mind-blowing!
These are really beautiful, Teresa. The colours and the scenery add to the beautiful composition and timing of your images.
Great looking couple!!! Good job!
Gorgeous colors and bokeh. Awesome variety of shots!
These are fantastic!! Am loving your use of composition. Great work
Stunning! I miss home. I'm loving the Castle Picture!!!
Red leaves shot is great! That needs to be printed on a 24×36 canvas up and hung on the wall!
BTW, first time to your site. Just had to say that I've been to Folsom before. It's so pretty out there. Even took a trip out to the prison, being a Johnny Cash fan.
