I love when my couples pick an engagement spot that is special to them. Jeff grew up in the Nevada City area and spent a lot of his younger days at the river. I will say that I was a little worried after driving for a good, long way down Yankee Jim Road and not really seeing anything. But once we got there…wow…what a grand spot for childhood memories he had! I have a feeling this little area is a treasure not many people know about; I feel blessed that they shared it with me.
Stephanie and Jeff’s Yankee Jims engagement session helped solidify Jeff’s memories of growing up, this time with his best girl and first baby (a furry one of the canine variety) at hand. It all felt very symbolic in many ways. We went deep into the canyon to get down to the river and we stayed through the evening hours to catch the sunset. It was worth the long drive and going past the creepy house with the noose hanging out front at night for sure (true story). The experience left me even more excited for their wedding coming up next September!
Awww I love those ones with the pup, what a cutie!!
Love the set on the rocks by the water.
These are so cute! I love the one with the banner and the sunset one. I can’t wait until I get engaged so that I can get pictures like these made! Love it!
Love it when couples include their pets. It’s so warm and human. Beautiful work, Teresa.
How adorable is that dog?! Great photographs. 🙂
So cool emotion in these pictures! I like the colors of this set.
I love pups in sessions and weddings. I’m a huge fan of the last two frames in the post! So good!
I love all of these! The ones with the dog are naturally my favourite (how cute!!!), but they’re all so beautiful.
These are absolutely gorgeous! I am especially impressed with the photos with the dog in them. You really captured this couple (and trio) perfectly.
Totally stunning Teresa – these are really beautiful – they must be thrilled with them. What a location!
These are all absolutely beautiful!! What a great couple – and adorable pup!!
umm yeah. that spot is awesome
Absolutely stunning! Gorgeous scenery and beautiful work! I love the pics with the dog in them, so cute!
Beautiful spot indeed! It must be a great part of the job to jump into peoples pasts and see the places that are special to them. I’m sure you could write a book documenting all the spots you’ve been too. Could make for a great read!
Yeah, the couple looks lovely but you got admit the doggie is beyond cute, those eyes and that wagging tail are responsible for the overall cuteness you get from these photos. I included my two bulldogs in our engagement and wedding photos and despite the chaos they created whenever they saw food, it was the best decision I ever took!
That second last shot, the wide shot of the couple on the bridge is amazing! Your composition and framing really adds so much to these images; the incredibly cute dog helps a lot too!!
My favorite? The picture of the couple sitting and kissing in the background with the dog staring at the camera in the foreground licking its lips. It brought a smile to my face and I’m not even a big dog lover. What a fantastic composition and serendipitous luck. You rock!
As a dog lover – I like that the doggie got in the picture! haha. He is so cute and it is great to see this little family having fun in a special place, making memories.
There’s nothing better than beautiful wedding photos, but these are incredible because of their pet dog. I love his personality, where he is looking directly at the camera. The scenery is breathtaking and makes me want to travel to this beautiful countryside.
