When Loran made up his mind that the time was right to ask for his love’s hand in marriage, no snowstorm, no government shut-down, and no lack of an epic sunrise was going to stop him from his mission that day. Especially since he had been planning for months! Now I’m all for daydreams, and they can come true. But sometimes, the reality of life even with all it’s rawness and imperfection, is much sweeter than any perfect dream. Because in reality, most dreams disappear once we wake up.
And so in front of the Grand Teton National Park in the Jackson, Wyoming area, a place near and dear to their hearts, Loran asked Janelle to marry him. And he made a promise to love her through the snowstorms, and government shut-downs, and the days that were dark and a little dreary from time to time. And she said yes and promised the same in return. I find it to be poetic foreshadowing that these two will have a marriage that endures no matter what curve balls this life throws them (and trust me, she can throw them like a pro).
They celebrated their new life, love of craftsman beer, and appreciation of the outdoors with an exquisite wedding at the Lodge at Tahoe Donner in Truckee. It was a day full of joy, happiness, and the ability to see the brightest and loveliest side of life.

Wow! So good! I really like the portraits!
Awesome coverage. Love the black and white of the glasses from underneath.
Those last few portraits are insanely beautiful! Gorgeous work!
Those last images at the end are full epic. Great coverage.
Love these images! ♥
Those last shots are killer!
Love the group shots most of all. Great work.
Quite possibly the most perfect wedding – you nailed this one Teresa
the portraits of them in the woods are amazing and that cake is to die for!
Beautiful work Teresa – love the light during prep – so atmospheric..
Simply stunning. I’m really loving the lodge theme. What a perfect setting for an outdoor wedding! You’ve really captured the scene here, Teresa. I feel like I’m there! The cake looks incredible, by the way.
How adorable is the bride’s hair… and her dress is absolutely gorgeous! You really captured a picture perfect dream wedding. Everyone looks so happy and the bride and groom look so in love… thanks for sharing!
The background of these are absolutely dreamy! And I love that you too pictures of the small details at the wedding. I love the black and white shots. Just gorgeous!
Such a gorgeous couple, they look so good together! I don’t know how you do it, but your photos are always filled with so many emotions, I got teary-eyed while looking at these photos and they’re complete strangers. Great job in bringing out their inner feelings. You can sense them in every picture.
Wonderful artistry in your images.
Ah as soon as I saw the word Tahoe, I knew that these photos and this wedding would be stunning. It’s such an amazing backdrop for a truly special and life defining day. I have to say that I’m blown away from the White marquee. So simple and magical, and a wonderful set up for the reception, and truly embodied in the black and white shots you took, especially of the couple dancing. Nothing tops those last three sunset photos though and you had such a wonderful backdrop to work with, with the trees as a unique framing.
What a beautiful wedding! The wedding and reception both looked very fun and inviting. The night shots were amazing and among the best photos in the collection. Keep up the good work!
I would LOOVE to take a trip to that lodge, amazing location, so chilled. Yet another awesome photo set , can’t wait to see more
