When the fabulous Lora Ward of A Day to Remember contacted me about one of her clients looking for a wedding photographer, I was thrilled over the opportunity to work with her again. Lora is just really warm, caring, and unique in the best way possible. And when she describe Megan and Scott to me, I knew right away that they were something a little extra special too. So we set-up a meeting and got together to discuss their big day. And as their story unfolded I saw something subtle, quiet, and completely beautiful between them. Then they said they wanted to do an engagement session; I was over the top happy to get some extra “portrait” time with them ahead of the wedding day.
We started at Megan’s childhood home in Auburn. From the street, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. It looked like any other nice neighborhood, but I didn’t know what kind of picture opportunities there would be. And then we went into the backyard…WOW! A beautiful creek, a treehouse and so many areas to run around and play in as a child (and heck, as an adult I even jumped in the creek for a few shots!). I can only imagine what it was like growing up there. And to come back with the love of your life made the session that much more meaningful. It was a fantastic day that left my heart full and me grinning from ear to ear (and I think Megan and Scott were too). I am beyond excited for their wedding day coming up in just a few short weeks.
Beautiful! Love the shots through the grass!
So soft and pretty and sweet, how lucky to have such a gorgeous yard! Love the treehouse shots especially, really great session!
lovely couple and wonderful shots through the grass!
great light, beautiful session.
Lovely session, really great use of light 🙂
I love this session. The locations are beautiful and perfect use of the light. Always my favourite type of engagements!
these are filled with wonder, well done Teresa!
Gorgeous images, such a sweet session.
This session is SO GORGOUS!!! Ahhhh the treehouse shots are so adorable!
I’m a sucker for a good reflection or silhouette shot, and you’ve nailed both in 1 session. Especially love that last one!
Oh Teresa… That light! I always get excited to check out your latest posts – this didn’t disappoint! Beautiful set with so much variety and love between the couple. Awesome job 🙂
That is a gorgeous backyard and this comes from someone who spent her entire life in an apartment. Just imagine the stories read here, the games they played… can’t wait for you to share their wedding as well. Great work!
Once again, great use of natural lighting! I love these love shots. I can’t get enough! You can see the emotion in every single one and you can’t tell these people even knew they were being photographed. Those are the best pictures. The ones that aren’t obvious where you catch them having a moment. Loved this set!
