If you’ve never visited the Japanese Tea Garden at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, I highly recommend it. During the fall season, the foliage just comes alive with bright orange, red, yellow, and evergreen leaves—if you’re looking for autumn, you will be sure to find it in this serene garden. If you can’t make it in the fall, March and April bring cherry blossoms galore! Ornate pagodas, a relaxing zen garden, and mesmerizing koi ponds make the garden an intriguing and romantic place to explore. In other words, the perfect spot for a San Francisco Japanese tea gardens engagement session!
Tracy and Dan live not far from the garden, so we all agreed it would be the perfect backdrop for an engagement session. They are the sweetest couple, and I loved following them around the gorgeous paths. Their attire was perfect for this session: he wore a handsome gray suit, and she looked beautiful in her black, floral dress. They complemented each other so well. With the formal style, these portraits will look great for more than just save-the-dates!
You would never know that Tracy was so nervous about being in front of the camera—she was a complete natural! I mostly just viewed from the sidelines as they did their thing! They looked so happy and in love strolling over the bridge and chatting on vacant bench just for them. And Dan had no trouble showing his love for his soon-to-be bride. I loved capturing the affectionate way he held her hand across the steps and kissed her in a small alcove. Other people along the path paused to watch and smile, and I could see why—these two have a special kind of love that people dream of.
Capturing this San Francisco Japanese Tea Gardens Engagement Session was an absolute honor. Thank you both for allowing me to be a part of such a special day!
Great Location, Beautiful natural photographs
