Some people believe that love stories end with marriage. But in my experience, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Terrence and Cece recently became engaged and are just beginning their happy love story. These two enjoy almost anything outdoor related—hiking, vineyard hopping, exploring, etc. So I thought Apple Hill Farms on the edge of the Eldorado National Forest would be a perfect location to bring out their personalities. The farm is diverse, filled with apple orchards, vineyards, Christmas trees and hiking trails galore. This photogenic couple seemed like they were in heaven and had no trouble at all getting comfortable in front of the lens. Any stress seemed to melt away as they made their way through the autumn leaves.
Dusk is a magical time of day. The dwindling glow from the sun lights up the leaves, and the dark, woody branches seem to come alive. I also believe it’s the most romantic time of day. Everyone should have the experience of watching the sky fade into peaceful darkness at the end of the day with someone they love. That’s what I was trying to capture during this shoot.
I loved getting to know these two. One of my favorite parts of my profession is meeting new couples and hearing their stories. I always tell clients that I truly love keeping up with them and hearing where life’s adventures take them over the years. Photography is so intimate. I aim to capture the heart of all my clients. I hope they never hesitate to reach back out to me seeing as I genuinely enjoy hearing from them. Terrence and Cece are both motivated, hard-working entrepreneurs. Their zeal for life and drive to reach goals is inspiring. I really can’t wait for their big day to arrive—I know that life has big things in store for this dynamic duo.
Pictures are so beautiful with all the fall colors. This couple is so well matched. Can’t wait for their photo’s. I know they will be fabulous.
