Brigette is a fashion student and a video game enthusiast. How’s that for an awesome combination? Her style is so natural and down to earth; she instantly makes you feel comfortable around her. As in, she can dress up and go out for a night on the town and be one of your most glamorous friends just as easily as she could curl up on the couch in something comfy, challenge you to a game on the PS3, and probably kick your butt. It’s so easy to see how Landon fell in love with her.
Their wedding was held at the La Provence Restaurant and Terrace in Roseville. It’s a beautiful and intimate venue and the staff was fantastic. Great food too!
Oliver of images by Oliver was my second shooter for this wedding. He’s a very talented guy and our styles are so complimentary it ALWAYS means more angles, more moments, and the most complete story of the wedding day.
We started the day early at 8:00am capturing the details in some really gorgeous light!
Brigette’s dress was beautiful, simple and elegant
Salt and Pepper anyone?
La Provence is a gorgeous venue….it’s so green and lush and just plain beautiful there.
The wedding colors were soft and perfect for spring.
Landon and Brigette opted for a first-look so that they could get the majority of their pictures taken before the ceremony.
This spot under a tree in the back was PERFECT.
While I captured the perspective above, Oliver was able to capture a different view of the first look.
Check out Landon’s big blue peepers!
And isn’t Brigette just such a beauty?
When you do a first look, it gives you the opportunity to schedule the majority of the formal pictures before the wedding. There’s really no right or wrong way to do things (after all is what the bride and groom want that maters most on this day). At the end of the day, it’s really just about what works best for the couple!
While I’m shooting the family formals, Oliver is free to get some less scripted moments like this.
After the group pictures, it was time to get ready for the ceremony. The girls waited in this cute little coffee shop Bistro section of the restaurant.
Here’s Oliver getting up close…
While I’m getting the whole scene…
After a few quick make-ups for the group shots, we snuck out for a few more bride and groom portraits…
Such a stunning bride…
I love just about all parts of a wedding, but I really think the bride and groom portraits are one of my favorite things to shoot…
The first dance as husband and wife is always touching…
And, the speeches were awesome. The merging of two families is such an emotionally charged event. Brigette comes from a large family (ok, she’s got one brother and one sister). But, for a guy like Landon (an only child), two siblings is huge!!
A lot of fun traditions were honored…
Including some major boogie down time on the dance floor!
Have you seen this move before?? Very niiice!!
I’m so happy for Landon and Brigette. I really want to thank them for allowing me the honor of being their wedding photographer and trusting me to capture one of the most important events of their lives.
See more of the day (because this long post just leaves you wanting more, right?) in the slideshow below. But seriously, there’s some good stuff in there.
