On this day 14 years ago, I married my best friend. And honestly, I can’t imagine sharing my life with anyone else but him. I’m a better person for having married Tim, truly I am; I love him with all of my heart every single day.
It’s sort of become a regular thing to go out of town to celebrate our anniversary. Tim and I both love the ocean, so this year we headed to Half Moon Bay and stayed at a cute little bed and breakfast called the Cypress Inn at Miramar Beach. We ate at an amazing little Peruvian Restaurant, La Costanera , for dinner, then took a nice drive down the Pacific Coast Highway before heading back home the next day. It was a simple, no frills get-away. And it worked wonders for our spirits.
Spending time alone reconnecting and just enjoying each others company was divine and we have officially committed to making time for just the two of us much more often than we do now. Having a successful marriage is not always an easy task, but in my opinion it is always worth the effort.
