This is my 100th blog post. I’m not a daily blogger, so it’s definitely taken some time to get here…two and a half years actually. I started this blogging adventure back in 2008 when I really started to take the business side of my photography seriously. I had been shooting portraits and such with my camera for a couple years, but hadn’t really taken it too far from a business point of view.
Deciding to blog recent work, tell the stories behind the images, talk about my personal life, and to put myself out there has been the best decision for me and for my business…truly. I like that my blog allows you to get an idea of who I am and what I’m all about. I think full disclosure is a good thing and I’m not perfect, so that’s risky. I know they say you should separate yourself from your business, but the truth is I don’t do that. And, I’m not sure I’d be happy if I did.
So for post #100 it’s another amazing couple, Ryan and Rachelle. They are sweet, gorgeous, fun, happy…everything an engaged couple just a month away from their wedding should be right? No stress, just happiness and excitement to start their life together. It’s a modern day online love story born of Facebook, but I’ll save that part of their story for the wedding post.
We decided to shoot in Folsom for their engagement session. I actually live in Folsom and there is no shortage of beautiful places for photographs. But truthfully, all of Northern California is that way. We’re very blessed to live here.
We started at the Folsom powerhouse then headed toward the CSUS aquatic center at Lake Natoma to catch some of that beautiful late afternoon light, my very favorite kind.
Here’s to personality, love, joy, beauty, photography, and the next 100 blogs posts!

Amazing stuff! I particularly love the second one of them on the bridge (portrait orientation). Gorgeous.
This couple looks like so much fun! (And she reminds me a little of Molly Ringwald.) I love the sequence of them playing in the field, and the shot of them reading by the river is really beautiful. Very nice work.

Hi Teresa! Beautiful photos! I’m a photographer too, and have a client that sent me a snapshot of one of your photos here (the one with the bridge) – she wants her Senior Portraits done here. Can you tell me where this is? I would be so grateful for your help! Thanks!♥️ Molly
