Enrique goes by Rick because, well honestly most people really don’t know how to properly pronounce Enrique (which is funny, sad, and true all at the same time). Rick is the oldest of his brothers and the last to marry. Mom had almost given up hope, that is until Rick found his match in Jackie. Jackie is beautiful, sweet, open, thoughtful, and a perfect fit for Rick. Did I mention that she’s gorgeous?? Check out the pics!! The two wasted no time in officially starting their life together with a short engagement and a wonderful wedding. Because when you know, you just know.
The wedding was held at the Ryde Hotel in Walnut Grove. The hotel was built and decorated in the Art Deco style and is completely fabulous. The folks there were terrific.
I also had the privilege to work again with Oliver from images by Oliver, who came as my second shooter. Oliver is a fantastic photographer and great friend. He captured some beautiful images that perfectly complimented the day.
I was so honored to be a part of this very special day. All of the family was warm and friendly and made me feel at home. I know Jackie and Rick will enjoy many years of happiness together.
Now on to the pictures!
The shoes Jackie chose were perfect with her dress. I have to commend Jackie on being in those heels all day, I’m not sure I would have made it myself! Who am I kidding, there is NO WAY I would have made it all day!!
It was really cool to see Jackie carrying callalilys for her wedding. I actually had callalilys for my wedding too, so it took me back!
The wedding dress was so beautiful and fit Jackie perfectly! There was a minor wardrobe malfunction with a couple of the buttons, but luckily for Jackie, her mother was prepared with a sewing kit. Mom to the rescue!!
Jackie and her Mom.
Jackie’s earrings were so pretty…although I don’t think Mom was much of a fan of the gauging, I think the earrings she chose looked elegant.
What a beautiful bride!!
The lucky guy!
Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Torres!!
After the formals were complete, it was time to focus on the bride and groom.
He headed across the street to capture images on the Delta. As I mentioned earlier, Rick grew up by the river, so it’s a special place for him.
The reception was relaxed and fun. Everyone had such a great time and the staff at the Ryde kept everything going smoothly.
Jackie knew Rick would be full of emotion on this day…his love for her is so deep.
I told you he was a happy guy!
