Growing up in Arizona, we didn’t really have seasons. It was more like warm, hot, even hotter, and scalding with not much in between. Since moving to Sacramento I’ve really come to appreciate the real differences that come with each time of year. Just when I was feeling tired of the heat and summer…walla, here comes the Mr. Autumn.
For me, fall means cool, crisp weather, a chance to have a few snugly nights with my hubby by the fire, beautiful splashes of color as the trees lose their leaves in preparation for the winter, the sounds of crunching leaves beneath your feet, and the pure joy of watching my children’s imagination come to life as they play dress up for Halloween.
Here are my little trick or treaters before they headed out to collect as much candy as their little baskets would hold!
Megan wanted to be a princess and she chose the princess Ariel. She is SUCH a girlie girl and loves to dress up even when it’s not Halloween!
Megan’s “scary face”
Mitchell was a different story. I tried to talk him into something less scary, but boys will be boys and a scary grim reaper was his wish, so since there was no blood or gore, I gave in.
Check out the look little sister is giving her brother. Very similar to a post from last year you can see here.
I hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween. I shall be doing my best to avoid the tempatation of all that Halloween candy!
