I am so happy this session happened. You see, it almost didn’t. Jason is Canadian, Jennifer is American and when you fall in love with someone from another country, the logistics of being together can be…complicated. So when Jennifer called with a last minute request for an engagement session, I was ecstatic. It meant her honey was here, and we would have a chance to spend sometime together before the wedding.
So, we headed to the River Walk in West Sacramento to see what life was like on the other side of the tracks (so to speak). The area is gorgeous, and when you add that beautiful late afternoon light and these two super cute lovebirds to the mix…it made everything perfect. I LOVED watching these two interact together. After a 3 year long distance courtship, you could see the gratitude they had just being together physically. It was so sweet, innocent, and loving. They way Jason looks at Jennifer reminds me of someone looking at a picture of home. And you can see how she just melts into him in those in-between moments, like settling into a pair of well-worn shoes that fit perfectly. It’s been a long time coming for these two and I can’t wait for the wedding! Good thing I don’t have to wait long.
