Have you ever heard the expression that some people “wear their heart on their sleeve”? Well let me tell you, this term of endearment is especially applicable when it comes to Ashley and August. I could see it during our first Skype consult, then again at their engagement session, and in full force surrounded by friends and family on their wedding day. The way their love for each other radiated the entire day and their ability to express it without reserve was just incredible. It was the kind of day that fills your soul completely until it flows over with happiness. I know it sounds corny, but it is so true.
Lovers of the outdoors and nature, they celebrated their union with a Twenty Mile House wedding in Greagle, a beautiful part of Northern California that is less traveled, less commercialized, and reflective of their hearts. It was a day I will not soon forget and the first time a couple has joined me in the water to get “the shot”. Love and laughter were flowing the entire day. Ashley’s smile lit up the entire room and Augie’s super chill vibe resonated everywhere he went. And after getting to know them over the duration of planning their wedding through the big day itself, I can truly say without hesitation, the world is a better place because these two are in it.

What a colorful wedding, I love the picture of the couple taken in the river, what time of the day was that taken?
Seeing the husband tear up made me tear up. Reminds me of the day I got married. When My husband’s eyes got glassy. Nothing is more romantic and beautiful than seeing a man cry tears of joy at the sight of his bride. Loved the full set and how down to earth the energy felt throughout. You can tell there is a lot of love in this family.
I just loved the way Ashley beamed at the doggy picture hanging on the tree, the shy, almost nervous look on Augie’s face as he waited for daddy to bring him the bride, and the utter look of joy he had when his bride arrived and they could hold hands. I just loved the pictures in front of the cabin, on the little walkway with all the pictures hung on trees (it looked like a fairyland), and the rays of sunshine dancing down. The joy and partying in these pictures were sure catching. I can feel the love coming off the pages, and I truly love the passion and fun that they’re sharing with the world.
